Ferrari 458 For Sale
Trying to find a Ferrari 458 for sale?
We know why. One of the world’s most accessible yet iconic “supercars”, the 458 makes heads turn and ears perk up.
From inside, you’re bathed with a symphony from high performance heaven. The mid-engine design puts the V8 right behind your seat, ensuring the thrill of the throttle reverberates through your bones.
The sleek, modern interior might have you thinking your were flying a spaceship. Luckily though, the 458 hugs the road like a dream. So much grip. So much balance. Excellent feedback—you can even feel the weight shift in the corners. All of these combine to make the Ferrari 458 one of the best handling, yet easiest to drive, supercars ever.
If you’re looking to buy a 458, new or used, Only Exotic is the place to look.
Ferrari 458 Variations
The 458 has 4 variations. The original is called the 458 Italia. Then comes the 458 Spider convertible. And lastly, there’s the super-powered Speciale and Speciale A.
The 458 Italia first replaced the F430 in 2009 and immediately proceeded to win “Car of the Year” and “Supercar of the Year” from Top Gear Magazine.
It boasts a F-1 inspired everything. A 562-hp V-8 with 398 lb-ft of torque, a high-powered suspension system, and a dual-clutch transmission system with an outlandish 7 speeds. All of these contribute to the wonderful things owners have to say about new and used Italias.
If you don’t already know how this works: the 458 Spider is the convertible version of the 458 Italia. It is nearly the same car, with a well-executed retractable roof (smooth, automatic 14-second transformation).
The aerodynamics are just a bit worse and it’s 110 lb heavier. But this car is too well made for it to make any significant difference. The handling feels pretty much identical and it only loses 4 mph off of the official top speed, from 202 mph to 198 mph.
Speciale & Speciale A
The Ferrari 458 Speciale and Special A are basically the Italia and Spider 2.0. The Speciale earned Top Gear’s “Supercar of the Year” for the Maranello-based manufacturer again in 2013 and Speciale A is the latest in the line (2015).
Ferrari apparently thought the 458 line lacked aggression. They bumped the horsepower up to 597, dropped 200 lb off total weight, and further tweaked the aerodynamics. Officially, the upgrades dropped the 0 to 60 time from 3.4 to 3.0. However, the consensus from industry testers and owners alike is that the Italia is already sub 3s.
